About Proactiv+

1. How do I use the Proactiv+ 3-Step-System for best overall results?

The Proactiv+ 3 Step-System should be used twice a day, morning and night, as follows:

Step One: Skin Smoothing Exfoliator

Apply a small amount to dampened skin. Using fingertips, gently massage in circular motions for 1 to 2 minutes, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Pat dry and follow with Step Two.

Step Two: Pore Targeting Treatment

Apply to clean, dry skin. Use 1 to 2 pumps and apply to entire face. Do not rinse off. When fully absorbed, follow withStep Three.

Step Three: Complexion Perfecting Hydrator

Using fingertips, apply generously to entire face. Do not rinse off.

2. Who is Proactiv+ designed for?

Proactiv+ is for any teen or adult who struggles with blemish-prone skin and suffers from breakouts.

Proactiv+ works for men and women of all ages, and will appeal especially to women in their twenties, thirties, forties and fifties who desire high quality skincare products.

3. Who can use Proactiv+?

Proactiv+ can be used bymen and womenas well as all skin types andethnicities.

4. What is the recommended age to use Proactiv+ products?

The recommended age to begin using Proactiv+ is 12 years and older, however the products are safe and effective for all age groups with adolescent and adult breakouts. For pre-teens, we recommend that you start slowly, by using the products every other day. However, if you are unsure, we suggest that you consult your GP or pediatrician before using the products.

5. Can I use Proactiv+ products on my body as well as my face?

Yes, you can use Proactiv+ on any blemish-prone area

6. Will Proactiv+ work if I use the products individually rather than as a system?

The products within theProactiv+ 3-Step System have been carefully designed to work together to achieve maximum results. Each product has been formulated to complement the other two. To keep your skin looking and feeling its best, use the products together as a system. You will also receive optimum results by using them twice a dayas directed.

7. Why has Proactiv+ suddenly stopped working for me?

Blemish formation is cyclical. A blemish begins approximately 2-3 weeks before it appears on your skin's surface. It starts in your sebaceous hair follicles, the tiny holes commonly called pores. Deep within each follicle, your sebaceous glands are working to produce sebum, the oil that keeps your skin moist and pliable.

The blemish cycle responsible for your breakouts may last many years, and you may experience periods of improvement followed by flare-ups, and vice-versa. Breakouts can't be cured, with or without treatment.

Even after blemishes disappear, you may need to use an effective skincare routine to keep new blemishes from forming. We have created an all-round system to help control breakouts gently.

A combination system uses several different ingredients to manage the blemishes you have now and help keep new ones from forming. The ingredients used in Proactiv+ should continue to be effective for as long as you use the products as directed. If your flare-ups continue or increase in severity, consult your dermatologist.

8. Will Proactiv+ clog my pores?

No. Proactiv+ was formulated to be non-comedogenic (non-pore-clogging).

9. Is Proactiv+ an anti-ageing regime?

Proactiv+ is better described as an anti-blemish regime designed with skin care benefits in mind - notably smaller looking pores, improved texture and tone, visibly faded unwanted pigmentation, demised appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, enhanced hydration and suppleness, and a brighter, more luminous complexion.

10. Can I wear make-up over Proactiv+?

Yes, you can still wear make-up, but always look for products that are non-comedogenic and oil-free. And always remove make-up before working out.

11. How should Proactiv+ products be stored?

Recommended storage for Proactiv+ products is at 25°C.

12. Are larger bottles of Proactiv+ available?

Proactiv+ products are available in 30 day kit and 60 day kit sizes in Philippines.

13. Does Proactiv+ promote facial hair growth?

No, Proactiv+ is for the management of blemishes and is not intended to promote hair growth.

14. Can breakouts be cured?

Breakouts can't be cured, with or without treatment. Even after blemishes disappear, you may need to use an effective skincare routine to keep new blemishes from forming. 15. Do I need to moisturise even if I suffer from breakouts?

It is important to keep all skin types hydrated for a healthy appearance. The right moisturiser will not aggravate breakouts or increase oiliness. In fact, it can actually improve the look and texture of your skin. Even oily skin can become dry and flaky on the surface. Step 3 of the Proactiv+ 3-Step System is our Complexion Perfecting Hydrator which has been specifically designed to address dryness, redness, tone, texture, post-blemish marks, oil, dryness and lack of brightness toleave skin supple, hydrated, smooth and even-toned.

16. Will taking the contraceptive pill affect my breakouts?

At one time, the high level of estrogen contained in many contraceptive pills seemed to improve breakouts. Today the hormonal levels are lower, and some in the medical field believe contraceptive pills may either slightly help or slightly worsen blemishes. We recommend consulting your doctor to find out if contraceptive pills are right for you.

17. Is Proactiv+ safe to use while pregnant?

We recommend that you consult your GP before using any medication, topical or oral, during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

18. I am outside in direct sunlight for most of the day. Is it safe to use Proactiv+?

Yes. However, you should always wear a sunscreen of at least SPF 15. Apply Proactiv+ first, then the sunscreen.

19. Is Proactiv+ safe to use when tanning in a tanning salon (sun-beds)?

As the ingredients used in Proactiv+ include Salicylic Acid, you may find that skin is more sensitive to the sun and tanning beds. Therefore, we suggest you avoid tanning beds – and always wear an oil-free sunscreen.

Allergic Reactions

1. How can I test for allergic reaction?

Apply a small amount of the product to the nape (back) of your neck, or to the underside of your neck at the jaw-line for 3 days.

People who are allergic to Salicylic Acid may experience red, itchy bumps in the affected area. If no redness or irritation appears, you will probably not have an allergic reaction.

If redness persists, discontinue using the product. If redness continues after you have stopped using the product, consult a doctor.

2. Can I use Proactiv+ with blemish medications?

In general, it's fine to use Proactiv+ with blemish medications. As with all medications, however, we strongly recommend consulting your doctor.

1. Does Proactiv+ have any side effects?

Side effects are usually mild, and include drying or irritation in some users who are sensitive to Salicylic Acid. If you are concerned or desire more information, we recommend you discuss with your GP or dermatologist.

No, Salicylic Acid will not cause tattoos to lighten or fade.

3. Do Proactiv+ products contain steroids?

No. Our products do not contain steroids.

4. Is Proactiv+ Solution hypoallergenic?

Proactiv+ is not for people who are allergic to Salicylic Acid. However, many of our ingredients were selected due to their hypoallergenic properties. The products founds within the Proactiv+ 3-Step System are also paraben-free, oil-free, non-comedogenic (non pore-clogging) and suitable for all skin types.

5. Is Proactiv+ non-comedogenic?

Yes, Proactiv+ products are non-comedogenic meaning that they won't clog pores.

6. Does Proactiv+ test on animals?

Our formulas are not tested on animals.

7. Is Proactiv+ 3-Step System sold as pack or can components be bought individually?

Proactiv Solution 3 Step System is sold as a kit. It includes Skin Smoothing Exfoliator, Pore Targeting Treatment and Complexion Perfecting Hydrator.

1. How do I order Proactiv online?

Please visit Proactiv website at https://my.proactiv.com.ph. If this is your first time to order, please Register an account by clicking "REGISTER", and then fill-out the fields and verify your email. This is a one-time registration only, and you will use the same account for future orders. If you have an existing account, you may follow these steps:

  1. Select the product that you wish to order. You may order one, several products, or products under promotions. This will fill up your shopping cart.
  2. Check-out and confirm your delivery address.
  3. A summary of your order will be shown and you can Confirm your Order.
  4. After confirming the product and delivery address, you will be requested to select the payment method you prefer. You can pay either by using credit card or cash on delivery.
  5. a. If you are paying using Credit Card, you will be redirected to our Online Payment gateway eGHL to finalize your payment. If the payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email for your purchase.

2. I'm trying to buy Proactiv online but there is an error saying: activation code does not exist.

Thank you for registering an account with Proactiv Philippines. When you register, a verification email is sent to you containing an activation code or link. You can either copy-paste the activation code on the browser, or simply click on the verification link. Sometimes, the copy-paste procedure results unintentionally to some additional characters like a space, so we recommend you to try again or to try to click on the verification link instead.

3. I can't successfully register to your website? I don't know what was the exact error?

If you can email us a screenshot of the error, we will be able to bring this up to our tech support and identify the source of your difficulty. I can also assist you with your order, and we can book as a regular Hotline order if you wish to fast track your purchase.

4.Can I bypass registration requirement and purchase as a guest on your shopping cart?

Currently, our system requires a registration of an account in order to proceed with the purchase. Ordering as guest is currently not supported.

5. I can't process my order, there's an error saying "unable to proceed due to - sorry we can't deliver to XXXXXX".

6. It's my first time to place an order online and I received 3 email notifications for my orders. The first 2 order placements failed because an error occurred every time I pressed the submit button.

7. I would like to order Proactiv kit for someone who is in the Philippines. How do I pay through your website if I'm in Dubai?

Proactiv online shopping cart can accommodate orders, payments, and deliveries within Philippine territory. If you are outside Philippines, it is best to check with your Credit Card provider if your card is enabled to transact outside country of origin. There are time when credit card providers from the country of origin do not have this enabled as part of its anti-fraud and security features. Proactiv Philippines payment gateway is through eGHL and it is capable to process international VISA and MasterCard transactions. To send the product to Philippines, please indicate your niece's Philippine address.

8. I just want to ask if you are accepting PayPal as a method of payment?

9. I would like to order Proactiv on-line but am having a hard time logging-in. I forgot my username and password. Wanted to register again but I cannot do it also because it will come back that I have registered already.

12. What is your delivery lead-time?

Proactiv's online shopping site my.proactiv.com.ph accepts orders daily, while our Door-to-Door Hotlines are available to book your orders every Mondays to Fridays.

We process and dispatch orders daily during regular business days (Mondays to Fridays, excluding holidays). Orders that are booked before 2pm are processed on the same day. Orders booked after 2pm will be processed on the following business day which means a plus 1 day on the lead-time. Online orders booked and paid during weekends and holidays are processed on the next regular business day.

13. Once the order is processed and depending on your location the lead time to receive your order is:

Metro Manila within 1-2 days
Provincial within 3-5 days
Our delivery courier is Jam Express.

14. For COD, where will I pay?

For COD transactions, the payment will be collected by Jam Express delivery courier upon delivery of your order. The courier will give you an invoice and a consignment note bearing with tracking number for you to sign to complete the transaction.
